<b>1. Look — </b>Watch the persons who are criticizing you and you will hear a loud tone of voices and probably see angry ugly faces and perhaps arms moving in different directions. Make up your mind that you will keep your cool in total silence.</div>

<br /><b>3. Laugh — </b>Nothing is more embarrassing to a critic than a subtle laugh. Almost everyone who criticizes you would like you to be shameful, sheepish and serious. However, avoid laughing loudly as if it were a great joke or even being sarcastic. A sense of humor helps a great deal. </div>

<b><br />4. Love —</b> It is unfortunate that most people criticize with an attitude of arrogance, bitterness, hatred and revenge. From the tone of their voices it is clear that they intend to punish rather than bring about a change of behavior. He/she may be the very person who needs your help to become different. A few days back I read a caption at the side of a school bus, “Be the person you want to be.” Immediately it struck me that something was wrong in the caption. I thought it was totally misleading because we are not here on earth to become what we want to become but we are here in this world to become what one needs or ought to become. <br /><br /><br /><br />No wonder, misled by such captions, many youngsters understand freedom in its entirely misplaced perspective. Therefore many of them want to become what they want to become and do whatever they want to do. This tendency is very destructive and damaging.<br /><br /><br /> Freedom is not in following every desire of one’s heart but it is in following what is good for oneself and equally good for others. Freedom is in seeking everyone’s well-being. Consider if there were no signals on the roads. Everybody drove as they wanted. What would happen? There would be complete chaos and confusion on the road which could lead to fights and accidents. In the same manner, one cannot behave as one wishes.<br /><br /><br /> Freedom demands change. Those persons who are open to change exhibit their wisdom and are on the road to true freedom which leads to growth. The fools never change. They fail to understand that only if they let go, they can let in. Freedom is not static. It is a movement towards proper growth and progress.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: right;">

He was then only sixteen years old. The IIT entrance results came. He had passed with flying colors and the highest rank. Thus you will find yourself making the most out of what you have right now. </div>

When I was in elementary school, I got into a major argument with a boy in my class. I was convinced that “I” was right and “he” was wrong — and he was just as convinced that “I” was wrong and “he” was right. The teacher decided to teach us a very important lesson. She brought us up to the front of the class and placed him on one side of her desk and me on the other.  </div>

<br />In the middle of her desk was a large, round object. I could clearly see that it was black. She asked the boy what color the object was. “White,” he answered. I couldn’t believe he said the object was white, when it was obviously black! Another argument started between my classmate and me, this time about the color of the object.  </div>

<br />The teacher told me to go stand where the boy was standing and told him to come stand where I had been. We changed places, and now she asked me what the colour of the object was. I had to answer, “White.” It was an object with two differently colored sides, and from his viewpoint it was white. Only from my side it was black.  </div>

<br />My teacher taught me a very important lesson that day: You must stand in the other persons’ shoes and look at the situation through their eyes in order to truly understand their perspective.  <br /></div>

His dedication was at such a high level that he never wished to go for any job other than training himself in boxing. After similar incidents, Ali was so angry that he threw the gold medal into the Ohio River. From then onwards, he decided to jump into professional boxing matches full-fledged. He improved on some key areas to get into real action and registered first couple of wins of his professional life within a few months.</div>
