CURSE NOT

Never curse the night,

For your being has begun there.
Never curse the darkness,

For you don’t know the light without it.
Never curse the pain,

For without it pleasure is meaningless.
Never curse the eclipse,

For it alone can bring you the full moon.
Never curse the summer,

For if it’s not there we miss the joy of rain and ice.
Never curse your neighbor,

For he tells you that no one is an island.
Never curse death,

For it gives a breakthrough to life eternal.
Never curse the failure,

For it tells you how ‘that way’ does not work.
Never curse the step taken,

For you know not the life-turning step ahead without it.
Never curse for not having talents,

But be grateful for not having defects.
Never curse the sin,

For you remain ignorant of what sacredness means without it.
Never curse the imperfection while you long for perfection.
