Something to Think of

Start Running

Two friends went on a safari and they came to a place which was the lion’s habitat. One sat down and put on a pair of Nike shoes. His friend chided him by saying, “Do you think you can run faster than a lion with these shoes?”

His friend replied, “Not faster than the lion but faster than you!”

You got to be faster than the other person if you are to make it in life.

At day-break in Africa, a lion wakes up, knowing that it must run faster than the fastest deer or else it will remain hungry. At dawn in Africa, a deer also wakes up, knowing it must run faster than the fastest lion or else it will be dead.

You may not be a lion or deer, but at day-break you better start running or else you will never achieve your goals.

Individuality

Once a student asked his teacher, “How does one get two bitter enemies to work together on something?”

Teacher answered, “Take a lesson from the cooking pot. Its thin bottom keeps two enemies, fire and water, from ever being reconciled to one another; it does so by not concerning itself with the contradictory qualities of the two opponents. It lets the water be water, and lets the fire keep on burning.”
