In his book Power of The Plus Factor, Norman Vincent Peale tells how he came across a tattoo studio in Kowloon in Hong Kong.<br />
<br />In the window, among samples of words, one could have tattooed on one’s body the words, Born To Lose.<br />Peale entered the shop and asked the Chinese tattoo artist, “Does anyone really have the terrible phrase, ‘Born To Lose’ tattooed on his body?”<br />
<br />He replied, “Yes, sometimes.”<br />
<br />Peale said, “But I just can’t believe that anyone in his right mind would do that.”<br />
<br />The Chinese artist simply tapped his forehead and said in broken English, “Before tattoo on body, tattoo on mind.”<br />

Robert Sternberg, a well-known psychologist believes that love in an interpersonal relationship has three basic components, namely, intimacy, passion and commitment, which are then combined together to form seven different types of love:</div>

<br /><b>1. Non-love </b>This love consists only of intimacy component. Among individuals who experience this kind of love interweave physical and emotional closeness. However, this kind of love usually only happens in the friendship.</div>

<br /><b>2. Infatuation</b> This is often called love at first sight. This love is likened to come from the eye and then down to the heart. Here perhaps you do not actually have the closeness that exists with the object of love. There is no emotional closeness that exists and also there is no commitment. That is why, infatuation easily arises and is also easily lost.</div>

<br /><b>3. Empty Love </b>In this affair there are only components of commitment. Lots of love-turned-love hollow as time passes. Relationship that at first feels warm and passionate, sometimes turns into a hollow because the components of intimacy and passion have faded.</div>

<br /><b>4. Romantic Love</b> Partners who engage in this kind of love would look like together because of the intimacy. In addition, they will also have a deep passion for each other. In this kind of love affair there is no commitment because it is often felt to curb the pleasure of love itself. </div>

<b>5. Companionate Love</b> It could also be interpreted as faithful love. This kind of love relationship is often found in marriage or a relationship that had long been intertwined. In this connection, usually passion has faded. However, there are still inherent intimacy and commitment.</div>

<b><br />6. Fatuous Love </b>It could be called blind love. Blind love can have a negative impact because it usually involves a sense of want to have a binding for each individual. In fact, it may no longer function relationship positive.</div>

<br /><b>7. Consummate Love</b> Love is the most perfect in the presence of components of intimacy, passion, and commitment. The commitment that exists in this love is based on mutual respect (because of the close relationship that is physically and emotionally), and also a desire to be with a very strong. This is what makes true love will be more durable than other types of love mentioned above. </div>

In 1519, when Hernan Cortes of Spain went to Aztec, Mexico, he was offered a sweet scented drink in a golden goblet. This special drink was offered to honoured guests only. The natives called it chocolate. It was made from the beans of a tree. These beans were considered most precious in Mexico. The tribals believed it was a gift from God.</div>

<br />Though the story is probably apocryphal, there is no doubt that chocolate was a drink worthy of the gods. Its taste and flavour were out of this world. No wonder Carl Linnaeus named this tree as Theobromas Coca (meaning God’s food). Today it is famous worldwide by its nickname coco.</div>

<br />Now back to Mexico…. Cortes took some seeds of the coco plant and planted them in Spain. For about a hundred years, Spain guarded the secret of the coco plant. But with more and more explorers travelling around the world, the word got out and by the 17th century, entire Europe started drinking chocolate. Today Ghana, Brazil and Nigeria are the largest producers of coco.</div>

<br />Strangely, coco itself is bitter! Milk and sugar are added to coco beans to prepare sweet chocolate. Today, chocolate has captured the world market in a big way. Chocolate of different flavours, designs and sizes are available everywhere.</div>

The world famous Brooklyn Bridge that connects Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York is simply spectacular and an enchanting engineering wonder.</div>

<br />John Roebling had harboured a novel idea of a bridge of this sort, but the engineers and experts considered this idea utopian and asked him to throw it out of his mind. They said that it is simply impossible. Roebling was not disheartened by those disappointing and discouraging words.</div>

<br />Roebling’s conviction grew stronger that the bridge could be built and hence began to convince his son, Washington, an up-coming engineer. They recruited their crew and began to build the bridge. The enthusiastic beginning came to a halt with an accident when John Roebling was killed and Washington suffered severe brain damage which resulted in his not being able to walk or talk or even move.</div>

<br />Everyone had a negative comment to make and felt that the project should be scrapped since the Roeblings were the only ones who knew how the bridge could be built. However, Washington Roebling had an indefatigable determination to complete the bridge. He began developing a mode of communication as he lay in the hospital. With the only finger that he could move, he touched the arm of his wife and tapped the code. She then communicated to the engineers who carried out the instruction.</div>
